CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. (AP) _ Kathy Mattea is continuing to explore coal mining history. She's planning to visit a restored jail where miners facing treason charges were once held. She's heading to Old Jefferson County Jail in Charles Town, West Virginia, this Friday, and she'll also participate in a panel discussion about the jail's history. Her new album ``Coal'' is what she calls ``a coming together of a lot of different threads'' in her life. Both of her parents grew up in coal camps and both of her grandfathers were miners.
