UNDATED (AP) _ Big & Rich performed at a groundbreaking ceremony for a military memorial in Georgia on Friday. The monument pays tribute to the 173rd Airborne Brigade, the same one featured in Big & Rich's song ``8th of November.'' Big & Rich wrote the song after meeting a member of the brigade who survived a surprise attack in the Vietnam War that killed 48 of his comrades. Big Kenny told The Tennessean that the memorial is ``a really big deal'' especially with the U.S. being at war right now. In 2006, Big & Rich helped raise more than half of the $650,000 needed to build the memorial by headlining a charity concert. The monument will include the names of every member of the brigade who has died during the wars in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan.
